Like many leaders before and after the French Revolution, Napoleon had many strengths and challenges.  Consider the conditions of France prior to Napoleon's rise to power, what he did or did not accomplish during his reign, and how he left France.  Do you believe he was the strong ruler that France was looking for or was he not? During the French Revolution people fought for fraternity, equality and liberty.  At the height of the Revolution was a period called the Reign of Terror led by the Committee of Public Safety and Maximillian Robespierre.  Thousands of people died in the name of liberty. In your opinion, is it every justifiable for people to be killed in the name of freedom?  Explain.
